The problem

In the waste sector, logistics has a direct impact on margins. Every route combines vehicles, drivers, disposal plants and EWC codes, and every job carries its own costs and revenues. Without reliable data from the field, planning and commercial decisions remain estimates.

The approach

IoT devices designed in-house, from the electronics and firmware to the 3D-printed enclosure, installed directly on the containers. The data flows into a platform built from scratch, backend and frontend, that plans routes, manages vehicles and jobs, and shows the costs, revenues and margin of every trip.

Owning every layer means each trade-off can be moved to wherever it weighs least. A space constraint may be solved with a different component, a change to the enclosure or on the software side, depending on which option costs least at that moment.

The approach

Stores built on Shopify and extended with custom-built snippets for the features the base theme did not cover. Development handled end to end, from initial setup through to go-live.

Google Analytics 4: With your consent, the site uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) for aggregate visit statistics: pages viewed, referral source, device. It sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies, lasting up to 2 years. Advertising signals are disabled and the data is not used for profiling. Google may transfer data to the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without consent Google Analytics is not loaded and no data is sent to Google.
Managing consent: Your choice is remembered for 6 months. You can change it at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of the page: if you reject, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted.
